Who exhibits and buys at MJBizCon
MJBizCon calls its expo the largest cannabis marketplace in the world, with more than 800 exhibitors organized into five neighborhoods: Cultivation, Processing + Packaging, Retail + Brand, Business Services, and Culture+. Pavilions on the floor include a Brand Pavilion, a Beverage Pavilion, the Indigenous Cannabis Village created with the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association, and a Global Exchange for international trade.
The organizer expects more than 20,000 professionals and says 90 percent of attendees have purchasing power at their companies, with half making final purchasing decisions. Dispensary owners, cultivators, manufacturers and processors, distributors, multi-state operators, investors, and regulators walk the same aisles, and nobody under 18 is admitted.
MJBizCon 2026 in the LVCC Central Hall
MJBizCon 2026 runs December 1 to 4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the expo in the Central Hall and an outdoor patio just outside it. The expo floor is open December 2 to 4: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
Freeman is the official services contractor, with exclusive control of material handling, electrical, plumbing, all suspended rigging, forklifts, and booth cleaning. Cox Business supplies internet and phone service, and Sodexo Live! handles all food and drink. The organizer hadn't posted 2027 dates when this guide was checked, so confirm them on its site before planning that far out.
The no-THC rule, and selling cannabis products without them
The show's cannabis policy is blunt: no cannabis, THC, or hemp products, including flower, concentrates, topicals, and edibles, may be sold, displayed, or given away at the convention center, even as free samples. It extends to Delta-8, Delta-10, and other THC isomers, to vapes, and to psilocybin products. Smoking and vaping aren't allowed in the building or within 25 feet of an entrance, and anyone smoking or consuming cannabis or CBD is trespassed from the property.
CBD has its own line. Edible CBD can't be sold or handed out, whatever its THC level; non-edible CBD such as oils and topicals can't be sold but can be given away as free samples if it isn't adulterated or misbranded. Any food or drink sampling goes through Sodexo Live! with an application at least three weeks ahead.
For the booth, that means telling the product story without the product. Packaging artwork, large-format photography, video, process graphics, and working equipment carry the message instead. Ask show management in writing about anything that could be read as product, such as filled-looking packaging or props, before it goes into fabrication.
MJBizCon booth heights, line of sight, and hanging signs
MJBizCon is a line-of-sight show, and its 2026 exhibitor services manual sets these limits:
- Inline booths: full height only in the rear half, nothing over 3 feet in the front half; the back wall can reach 10 feet as standard, 10 to 14 feet with a height fee arranged ahead through your sales representative, and never more than 14 feet
- Perimeter booths can reach 12 feet; end-cap booths aren't offered, and tents and canopies aren't allowed
- Islands and peninsulas use the full cubic content, but the ground-supported structure plus any hanging sign can't add up to more than 20 feet
- Hanging signs are for islands and peninsulas of 400 square feet or more, with the top of the sign no higher than 25 feet and 5 feet of open space above the structure (required for peninsulas, preferred for islands), so a 16-foot structure leaves room for a 4-foot sign
- Multi-level exhibits, and covered areas of 300 square feet or more, need plans sealed by a registered architect or engineer at least 60 days before move-in
- It's a no-concrete show: islands and peninsulas get no carpet and must bring flooring that covers the whole space
Designing an MJBizCon booth for equipment, packaging, and retail tech
Many MJBizCon exhibitors sell what surrounds the plant: grow lights, extraction and packaging equipment, point-of-sale software, security, and services. Working equipment is allowed and draws a crowd, but the convention center's facility guide sets the terms for moving machinery: a marked safety zone, guards that stay in place, an easy-to-reach emergency stop, locked controls, trained staff watching, and no moving part reaching into the aisle.
Sound depends on booth size. Booths under 400 square feet can't amplify sound at all, and larger booths keep it to 80 decibels measured from the aisle, with speakers facing in. Smoke machines aren't permitted and fog needs approval from the show and the venue, so build atmosphere with lighting and video. Booth sharing isn't allowed either: every company shown in the space needs its own contract with MJBiz.
MJBizCon move-in, freight, and contractor deadlines
Move-in is short. For 2026, booths of 400 square feet or more start at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 30, everyone else at 1 p.m., and every booth must be finished by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1. Exhibits of 800 square feet or more, or with heavy machinery or large shipping containers, could request a Sunday, November 29 start by November 13. Move-out runs from 3 p.m. Friday, December 4 to noon Saturday, December 5, and carriers must check in by 11 a.m. that Saturday.
Freeman's advance warehouse in Las Vegas receives freight from October 30 to November 24, closing for Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, and material handling is included for shipments that arrive in the published windows. Direct shipments check in at Freeman's marshaling yard by 2:30 p.m. on the targeted day. Outside builders register as exhibitor-appointed contractors: the 2026 schedule asked exhibitors to name their EAC by October 19 and upload the EAC form and insurance by November 2, and each EAC pays an administrative fee per booth and must be authorized to work in the building.
An MJBizCon planning timeline around Thanksgiving
As general guidance for a show that moves in right after Thanksgiving, with the 2026 dates for reference. The Las Vegas trade show calendar tracks MJBizCon with the rest of the season, the guide to what a custom booth costs helps set a budget, and our trade show checklist breaks out the tasks:
- Summer: book space, choose the neighborhood that fits your products, and brief your builder
- August and September: concept and 3D design, with a product story that works without cannabis on display
- Late September: sealed plans for any multi-level or large covered exhibit, at least 60 days before move-in
- Mid-October: name your exhibitor-appointed contractor
- Early November: EAC paperwork and insurance, plus discounted orders for electrical, furniture, and internet
- November: fabrication and graphics, with freight at the warehouse by November 24, then install on November 30 and December 1
