Who exhibits and attends G2E
G2E, the Global Gaming Expo, is presented by the American Gaming Association and organized by RX. Exhibitors range from makers of slot machines, table games, bingo, and lottery systems to companies in iGaming, sports betting, payments, hospitality, AI, and business technology. The 2026 show had 400 exhibitors, visitors from 120 countries, regions, and territories, and more than 100 education sessions.
The audience is the people who buy for and run gaming floors: commercial, tribal, online casino, and sportsbook operators, along with suppliers, game developers, investors, and regulators. They come to play the product. An exhibit that organizes that play, and moves serious buyers from a game bank to a meeting table, tends to work better than one that simply lines machines up.
G2E at the Venetian Expo
G2E fills Halls A through D of the Venetian Expo, and the 2026 floor added an iGaming Pavilion. Freeman is the official general contractor, while electrical, internet, and plumbing come through the venue's own services, and hanging signs with motors or electrical components went through the venue and Encore in 2026.
The building has rules of its own. The Venetian's exhibitor guide says all rated truss and rigging motors are provided exclusively by Encore, and that Encore labor is required for floor-supported items rising more than 16 feet. Hall D also opened later than the others during 2026 move-in, which matters if your space is there.
G2E dates: education, expo floor, and move-in
For 2027, the G2E expo floor runs September 28 to 30, with education beginning September 27. Hours for 2027 aren't posted yet; in 2026 the hall was open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closing at 3 p.m. on the last day.
In 2026, targeted move-in ran September 24 to 28, Hall D wasn't available until 1 p.m. on September 25, and every exhibit had to be installed, with empty containers tagged, by 5 p.m. on September 28. Booths of 1,000 square feet or more submitted layouts for approval by August 14, and EAC sign-up closed August 13.
Planning G2E booths around games, power, and meetings
G2E exhibits are built around play. Game banks and tables set the layout, and each machine needs power, data, and service access planned before the floor plan is final. Sightlines should pull visitors toward featured titles, with room behind each bank for technicians and spare parts.
Bright cabinet screens change the lighting problem. Ambient light has to be controlled so graphics and finishes don't wash out next to the games, while meeting areas get warmer, softer light for long conversations. Hospitality and private rooms turn a demo into a deal, so plan them into the structure rather than as an add-on. The 2026 rules also capped sound at 85 decibels, which decides where attract modes and audio demos go.
G2E exhibitor rules: heights, signs, and gaming devices
From the 2026 display rules and show guide:
- Inline and linear booths are limited to 10 feet with no hanging signs; peninsula and island heights depend on the booth's location on the official maximum height floor plan
- Peninsulas must be 400 square feet or larger, island signs must hang with their bottom at least 10 feet off the floor, and truss without graphics may extend above the height limit
- Booths of 1,000 square feet or more submit layouts for approval, and multi-story displays are limited to two levels with specific fire safety measures
- Manufacturers not licensed in Nevada may display gaming devices but can't sell them or take orders, and must post a sign in the booth saying they aren't licensed by the Nevada Gaming Commission
- Electrical work is done exclusively by the venue's electricians, and exhibitor-supplied LED walls 16 feet or taller need Encore's help to build
Shipping and striking gaming equipment
Slot machines and gaming equipment move on their own track. The manual has a separate shipping label for show-site gaming equipment, and in 2026 all gaming equipment had to ship out on the final show day, with only gaming technicians allowed on the floor from 3 to 4 p.m. that afternoon. Aerial rigging had to be fully dismantled by 10 p.m. the next day.
For the exhibit, that means two crews on different clocks: technicians who disconnect and pack the games, and the build team who take down the structure after. Design bases and platforms so machines can be removed without dismantling the booth around them, and keep a plan for cabinet crates. A Las Vegas builder returns for dismantle without travel, and anything needing repair goes back across town.
A G2E planning timeline
As general guidance for a late-September show, using 2026 deadlines for reference. Our trade show checklist covers the smaller tasks, and the RFP template helps if you're comparing builders:
- Spring: book space, set the product lineup, and brief your builder
- May and June: concept, 3D design, and game bank layout with power and data
- July: final design, engineering for any two-level structure, and LED wall planning
- Mid-August: layouts for booths of 1,000 square feet and up, and EAC sign-up
- August and September: fabrication, graphics, and a walk-through before targeted move-in
