Who exhibits and attends ISC West
ISC West is organized by RX in collaboration with its premier sponsor, the Security Industry Association (SIA). The organizer describes the floor as covering access control, video surveillance, biometrics, identity, cybersecurity, IoT, and integrated security technologies. For 2026, RX reported more than 29,000 security professionals and more than 750 exhibiting brands.
The audience mixes end users, systems integrators and installers, dealers and distributors, consultants, and IT and cyber leaders. For buyers like that, a booth that shows a complete system running live, from the camera to the alert on a dashboard, says more than a wall of products.
ISC West at the Venetian Expo
ISC West is held at the Venetian Expo at 201 Sands Avenue. The 2026 show used Halls A through D, and the venue's exhibitor guide lists a ceiling height of 32 feet 5 inches for Halls A, B, and C.
Rigging follows the building's rules. All rated truss, ground-supported or flown, and all rigging motors are provided exclusively by Encore, and Encore labor is required for floor-supported items rising more than 16 feet. At ISC West, hanging signs with motors go through the venue, while signs without motors go through Freeman, the official general contractor.
ISC West dates: education days and exhibit hall days
For 2027, SIA Education@ISC runs April 5 to 8 and the exhibit hall is open April 7 to 9: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. The full week appears on most calendars, but the floor itself is open three days.
ISC West is a targeted move-in show. In 2026, move-in ran March 21 to 24 with every exhibit completely set by 5 p.m. on March 24, and overtime applied to work before 8 a.m., after 5 p.m., and on weekends. Move-out was staggered by hall, starting with Hall D, and EACs weren't allowed back on the floor until 3:30 p.m. on closing day. The 2027 manual is marked as coming soon.
Building live security demos for ISC West
ISC West buyers want to see cameras, readers, locks, alarms, and software working together. That puts mounting surfaces at the center of the design: walls, ceilings, doors, and openings built to carry real devices at real heights, with blocking where hardware attaches and access panels where it's wired.
Every demo needs power, network, and a clean cable path back to a rack or server closet inside the booth. Plan screens so one presenter can walk a visitor through an event end to end, and keep a meeting area for integrator and dealer conversations away from the busiest demo. Lead capture belongs in that flow, so a demo can end with a scan and a note for the sales team.
ISC West rules for height, signs, drones, and lighting
Demo-heavy booths run into these 2026 rules most often:
- Height by booth type: 9 feet for lobby booths, 12 feet for in-line booths, 20 feet for peninsulas (400 square feet or larger) and linear islands under 400 square feet, and 25 feet for islands, with nothing allowed above those limits
- Hanging signs only over island, peninsula, or walk-through booths of 400 square feet or more that are at least 20 feet deep and 20 feet wide
- Double-deck booths and booths of 7,500 square feet or more submit architectural drawings with an engineer's stamp
- Drones can't fly except inside a confined, netted demonstration area
- Strobe, blinking, laser, and flashing lights, and fog, smoke, and haze, need written approval
- Outside builders register through the EAC process; for 2026, designations were due February 23
Las Vegas logistics for ISC West
Early April is a crowded week in Las Vegas. In 2027, ISC West at the Venetian Expo and NAB Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center overlap, so hotel rooms, labor, and trucks are in demand across town at once. Book crews and transport early, and keep the move-in plan tight.
A Las Vegas builder helps with the parts that change late. If a device list or a partner logo changes after fabrication, a panel can be recut by The Job Shop and a graphic reprinted by Vegas Visual in the same building, then brought across town during move-in.
An ISC West planning timeline
As general guidance, count back from a late-March or early-April move-in. Our trade show checklist breaks these steps down, and the Las Vegas trade show calendar shows what else is in town that week:
- Fall: book space and confirm the booth type, since height and sign rules depend on it
- November and December: concept and 3D design, with the device list and demo scripts from your product team
- January: final design, rack and power planning, and engineering for any double-deck
- February: EAC registration and approvals for special lighting or effects
- March: fabrication, device mounting tests in the shop, graphics, and targeted move-in
