Who exhibits and attends ConExpo-Con/Agg
ConExpo-Con/Agg serves the construction, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete industries. Its principal sponsors are the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, and the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, with the Associated General Contractors of America as show sponsor and AEM as producer. The organizer describes the audience as contractors, materials producers, and government and institutional sector officials.
For 2026, the organizer reports more than 2,000 exhibiting companies across more than 3 million net square feet of exhibits. The organizer lists field operations staff, fleet managers, project managers, engineers, owners, and executives among the attendees, and says 75 percent are involved in purchasing decisions. Those are people who know the equipment and want to see it up close.
ConExpo-Con/Agg halls, lots, and the Festival Grounds
The 2026 show ran March 3 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, with exhibits spread across the indoor halls and outdoor lots including the Festival, Platinum, Silver, and Diamond lots. In 2026 the West Hall served as the earthmoving hub, and the Festival Grounds was the outdoor center for earthmoving and lifting, with live demonstrations.
Indoor and outdoor exhibits are different builds. Outdoors there are no size or height limits on signage, but banners must be mesh, tents over 400 square feet and canopies over 700 square feet need Clark County permits, staking into concrete isn't allowed, and electricity is the only outdoor utility. Show management also designates the tent companies you can use.
The ConExpo-Con/Agg calendar and staggered move-in
The next edition is set for March 13 to 17, 2029 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The organizer says exhibitor space applications open in fall 2027, roughly 18 months before the show.
Move-in starts weeks before opening. In 2026, targeted move-in began February 2 on the Festival Lot and February 4 on the Platinum Lot, February 21 on the Silver and Diamond lots, and February 23 inside the halls, all running through March 2. Move-out ended March 11 indoors, March 15 on the Platinum Lot, and March 18 on the Festival Lot. Material handling was included in the price of exhibit space, provided trucks arrived by 2 p.m.
Designing around heavy equipment at ConExpo-Con/Agg
At ConExpo-Con/Agg the machines set the scale. Structures, signage, and graphics have to read next to excavators and cranes, so the exhibit works best as a frame: a strong brand element visible across a lot or hall, clear paths around each machine, and a raised or covered space where buyers can sit down, out of the sun or the noise.
Floor loads and weights shape the plan. The 2026 rules required 1-inch plating under tracked machines over 250,000 pounds, limited the Central 3 concourse to 175 pounds per square foot, and limited outdoor asphalt to 250 pounds per square foot. Placing equipment, platforms, and meeting structures has to start with the weights, not the renderings.
ConExpo-Con/Agg exhibit rules that matter to a builder
Only the 2026 rules are published so far, and the organizer notes they may change for 2029. Key points:
- Booths less than 20 feet deep are limited to 10 feet; corner, perimeter, peninsula, and island booths at least 20 feet deep can reach 16 feet; product and machinery have no height limit
- Hanging signs aren't permitted in standard exhibits; where they're allowed, they hang at least 4 feet above the highest wall, weigh no more than 1,500 pounds, and are rigged by the official contractor
- Multi-level exhibits are capped at 20 feet and need a Nevada engineer's stamp; floor plans for booths of 1,000 square feet or more were due in early November, and exhibitors were told not to start construction before written approval
- Exhibitor-appointed contractors can install and dismantle display materials only; installing product uses the official contractor, and all install, dismantle, and freight work follows the official contractor's union jurisdiction
- Indoor equipment carries no more than a quarter tank or five gallons of fuel, and electric vehicles and batteries can't be charged indoors
Las Vegas logistics for a five-day equipment show
Oversize loads need Nevada permits, and outdoor lots run on their own schedules weeks ahead of the halls. Crews, equipment transport, and exhibit structures all have to land in the right lot on the right day, so the move-in plan deserves as much attention as the design.
Long outdoor days in March also call for shade, seating, water, and storage that hold up to wind and dust. A Las Vegas builder can stage outdoor structures locally and bring them across town on the lot's targeted date, then keep a crew nearby while the show runs.
A three-year ConExpo-Con/Agg planning timeline
Because the show runs every three years, the planning arc is long. As general guidance, using the 2026 cycle for reference; our trade show checklist and the Las Vegas trade show calendar help with the rest:
- Fall 2027: apply for space when applications open, and set equipment and exhibit goals
- 2028: concept, 3D design, and equipment placement with weights and access routes
- Fall 2028: final design, engineering for multi-level structures, and floor plan approval
- Winter 2028 to 2029: EAC registration, tent and canopy permits, fabrication, and graphics
- February and March 2029: lot-by-lot targeted move-in, then the show
