What a two-week experiential build required

What it took to take a hospitality lounge, with a sushi bar, seating, displays, and a hidden door, from concept to installed in two weeks for ComplexCon 2025.

Key takeaways

  • One team owned concept, fabrication, finishing, and install.
  • The lounge was designed as an environment, not a collection of objects.
  • Two weeks from concept to installed environment.

One connected scope

The project combined concept development, fabrication, finishing, structural work, display elements, upholstery, millwork, and final installation, with no handoffs between separate vendors.

The environment, not one object

The finished lounge brought several builds together into one space.

  • Edge-lit ceiling assembly
  • Custom wall-panel system
  • Integrated upholstered seating
  • Stainless merchandise display
  • Concealed storage and a hidden doorway
  • A working sushi bar

Why the timeline worked

With design, the shop, and install under one roof, decisions were made in the same building where things were being cut and finished. Two weeks from concept to an installed environment is a schedule that only works when nothing waits on another vendor.
